Manual Operation

Identification is a critical step in intralogistics when manually placing packages on the conveyors of automated storage systems. The process of manual import is usually associated with the first manual reading of the barcode for easy identification. Once identified, these items will be handled and stored through automated or semi-automated storage systems.

Commonly used barcode readers for packaging identification in manual operations and intralogistics are rugged handheld scanners (PowerScan™) and wearable scanners (HandScanner), depending on the specific application requirements.
